Job Title: Light and Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Light and Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic to join our retail tire shop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light and heavy-duty trailers, ensuring they meet safety standards and perform efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in light and heavy-duty trailers

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as brake adjustments, tire replacements, and lubrication

• Inspect and test trailers to identify and address potential problems

• Weld and fabricate components as needed for repairs or modifications

• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues

• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient service

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in all repair and maintenance activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proven experience as a trailer mechanic with expertise in both light and heavy-duty trailers

• Knowledge of trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems

• Welding and fabrication skills for trailer components

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferred)
