Job Title: Passenger/Light Truck Mechanic

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Passenger/Light Truck Mechanic to join our team at the retail tire shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining passenger and light truck tires, ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and assess passenger and light truck tires for wear and damage

• Perform tire repairs, including patching, plugging, and tread repair

• Mount, balance, and rotate tires using appropriate equipment

• Conduct wheel alignments for passenger and light truck vehicles

• Perform tire and wheel installations and replacements

• Provide recommendations to customers on tire maintenance and replacement

• Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow

• Maintain accurate records of tire services and inventory

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in all repair and maintenance activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proven experience as a Passenger/Light Truck Mechanic in a retail tire shop

• In-depth knowledge of passenger and light truck tire systems and repairs

• Proficiency in using tire mounting, balancing, and alignment equipment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

• Physical capability to lift and handle tires and equipment

• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification (preferred)
