Took my Tacoma to rice tires because the TPM light was on. Asked them to diagnosis it and they said the sensors needed to be reprogrammed to the car. Worked for about 24 hrs then light came back on. Took it to Toyota to have it diagnosed the second time and it was the spare tire sensor that was bad. Rice tires then replaced the sensor for a 1/4 of the price to have it done at the Toyota place and all has been well since. I’m not sure why rice tires couldn’t tell the spare tire sensor was bad the first time but they didn’t charge me much, so no big loss and the service was great, quick, and friendly both times. Also the first time at rices I noticed they put all my tire pressures to 39. They were set at 29 and 32 when I took it in. That is kind of a weird thing to do when the proper pressure is inside the drivers side door. Maybe it was part of diagnosing the issue?
