History Buffs will love Frederick from the Francis Scott Key Monument to the National Shrine of Elizabeth Ann Seton who was the first American-born saint there is ample opportunity to relive history.

Family fun however is where Frederick really shines!  Take the kids out to the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and ZooWalkersville Southern Railroad,  or Adventure Park USA.  Take in the sites, enjoy the day and when it’s time eat, there is no shortage of great places like Pistarro’s Pizza which bakes its creations in a volcanic clay oven hand made in Naples Italy!  SIX minutes away for Rice Tire, it’s a great place to have lunch while your car is getting serviced.   For something a bit more adult and within walking distance, try Olde Mother Brewing.

Frederick Marland Event

As a leader in the community for many decades, Rice Tire is a local tire shop dedicated to promoting Frederick and its wonderful communities, it’s fantastic people, and American Heritage.  As a way to make sure it stays that way, we’ve reinvested in ourselves and the community through recent and massive expansions of our facility.  A brand-new showroom, SIX new service bays, and a 2nd much wider entrance are all things we’ve done to expedite your visit and better serve you.

This review is long overdue, but these guys saved our trip to Rehoboth almost two years ago, especially the tech who worked on my tire.Ran over a deer carcass on I-70 around 10pm the night before as we started our trip, and we were able to limp into Frederick after our rear tire quick lost air. Just have new Michelin Premier's installed by Costco but with two small kids couldn't wait for Costco to open up at 10am. Called a few places and quoted $200-$300 for a replacement tire (assuming they would even replace a single tire on an AWD). Rice said to come in and they'd try to patch it.The tech probably spent 30-45 minutes trying to remove the bone (I watched and checked the car for any other damage). I was shocked and relieved when he was able to get it patched up and got us on the road in no time. And they only charged the normal patching price. Felt bad because I didn't have any bills to tip the tech. These guys were amazing and now we have a go-to place if we ever run into trouble on our annual Rehoboth trips. Thank you so much!
